Who we are

Learningi2a is part of the ThoughtSeed.co.nz Group. We provide scenario-based practice and AI-led coaching for professional development. This notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account data: your name and email address when you are invited or sign in.
  • Practice data: conversation transcripts, optional audio recordings, scores, and coaching reports generated from your practice sessions.
  • Organisation data: projects, scenarios, rubrics, and supporting documents created by your organisation.

How we use your information

  • To run practice conversations and generate feedback against your organisation's rubric.
  • To produce coaching reports and competency assessments for you and your organisation.
  • To help your organisation identify team-wide strengths and development needs.

AI and third-party processing

To deliver live voice practice and evaluation, your transcript and optional recording are processed by the following providers. Each provider processes data under their own terms; we share only what is needed to run the session and generate feedback.

  • OpenAI — real-time conversation and transcript evaluation.
  • Deepgram — speech-to-text and text-to-speech.
  • ElevenLabs — text-to-speech for additional voice options.

These providers may process data outside New Zealand. By starting a practice session you consent to this transfer for the purpose of generating your feedback.

Recording and consent

Audio recording is optional. Before each session you can choose whether to record. If you opt out, the conversation still runs but no audio is stored. Recordings are held in private storage and accessed only via time-limited signed links. You can delete your recordings at any time by deleting your account.

Data retention

  • Practice sessions and transcripts: retained while your organisation account is active, or until you delete your account.
  • Audio recordings: held in private storage and purged when you delete your account, or on request.
  • Share links: public practice links expire after 90 days by default and can be revoked at any time.

Your rights under NZ law

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete it (subject to lawful retention obligations).
  • Complain to the Privacy Commissioner if you are not satisfied with our response.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at chris@thoughtseed.co.nz.

Security and data isolation

Your data is isolated by organisation using row-level security. Users in one organisation cannot see or access another organisation's projects, sessions, or reports. Administrative access is restricted to authorised roles.
